Be Part of a major movie release, let design festivals and public awareness around this movie, years in the making from famed movie expert Cheryl Green and her unique way of seeing thing in the world and society.  My hope is to get her up in spokane to help document all incredible things we do in spokane despite the resistance of professionals trying to brand brain injury into a industry, I think that's what I want to call the movie the resistance, but anyway the movie "Who am i to stop it!" is…See More

TBI Center

I have seen the idea of a tbi center who decided this is where we need a center, and if the state funds this they are going to tell us we gave you a tbi center, as funding is difficult is this really a good way to use a million dollars that money could and should be used to help the groups that are doing these things now, I know groups are hanging on by a thread and we are going to buy a building for a clubhouse, I am not happy about sneaky legislation for private interests while ignoring the… Continue

Hey George: I can understand your frustration with the lack of support groups here in the Yakima area. I have been looking myself and just haven't found anything. I think it is a great idea to maybe start something up...let me know what you think. I know the need is there, it is making it happen. I heard you go to the Spokane support group, how is that? Looking forward to hearing from you...blessings.

Hi George,
How are you? I thought I would write you to see how you are doing? I am getting back to my busy schedule. After having carpafl tunnel surgery on my good wrist. I was just wondering did you have a tbi? If so when and how if you feel like sharing. Mine happened when I was seven years old. My biological father and I went off a mountain cliff in White bird Idaho. I did not have a seat belt on and I flew out the window and hit my head and was knocked into a coma. My dad had to find me and carry me about a mile to find help. We were flown here to Spokanes Sacred heart where I remained in a coma for six weeks and my mom and sister had to find a ride. I had to learn to walk and talk all over again. I am partly paralyzed on my left side because of it. But I feel at least I am alive to help others. I am a self advocate and I have been to Washington Dc and to Olympia twice. But you can do anything if you just put your mind to it. Dont give up! Well I got to go. Write soon if you can.
Debra
