HAPPY NEW YEARS my hope is that we realize and fulfill or destinies

I realize I am only a few years into my life with a TBI but the road has been so cloudy and harsh with many obstacles usually from those I have loved..  But there has to come a point where we can accept and embrace and make the best out of what we might have been dealt.  I have had so many failures over the last few years, but I kept trying fail or not and every now and then I would experience some success though few and far in between.  But I am getting better at knowing when I am riding a…

New Me - (not so bad)

One of the hardest things for a survivor is to let go of the past, who we were. Not all who have had a brain injury totally lose who they are but many do, and I am one of those. Though i am just over 4 years into this journey there are many things I can not accept but I am working on it.

There are so many great things about this new me, I must now learn to apply that into living again for myself. I have so much to offer but I must learn balance and have some fun too. There is…

Hi Kerry, I sure know how you feel. No one wants to hear about my tbi either. My husband is in complete denial, & tells me to just push through it & I will be the same as before the accident. He has no clue. He won't read any of the material I present to him. He argues with me and yells at me, tells me I do everything wrong. The frustration is horrible. I was born near Washington, although it breaks my heart to leave my husband, there are simply NO RESOURCES in CO. For TBI. I desperately am in need of peer support. Kerry I feel your pain too. Do you have anyone in your life that you are close to? Marielli

It seems like everything I read primarily comes from Washington state.  What about Florida?  Florida is just about the WORST state you can be in when it comes to having a Severe traumatic brain injury....I have a hard time after 3pm and would love to be able to hear the TBI radio program with Craig, but I cannot stay awake that can we get that to be on eastern time?  My biggest issue is that I have no visible side affects after a severe traumatic brain injury and the fact I even survived is a I am stuck on disability in Florida and nobody wants to hear about my brain do I deal with that? Thanks.  Kerry
