This may explain, for a few, perplexing memory difficulties:
Topics: TEA, Amnesia, TLE
A few persons find that the right epilepsy medicine temporarily improves aspects of their memory; a few persons find that the right stimulant (including caffeine) can temporarily improve aspects of their memory. Many persons find that no medicine works for them at all. That's my understanding.
I don't know per se that the traumatic amnesia has to do with epileptic events, as I've had Islands of memories for a long time, and many of my old memories get wiped away. I kind of think that it is probably near universal that many people experience similar stuff, but I was surprised to learn from Wikipedia that of brain injuries only about a quarter experience amnesia, or whatever proportion it was. I had a difficult time, I assumed that others were probably similar. Oh well, I have a good time.
